You receive two designs, photographed, within 4 to 9 days.
 When you order your hanko, the $50 comes back as a credit. The design costs you nothing.

Design Process
$50 (This amount is fully applied toward the cost of the seal.)
Before the seal is carved, we first create a design for the seal face.
A nationally certified engraver meticulously plans the layout, carefully considering factors such as character placement, spacing, and the relationship between lines and borders. This is a crucial step in crafting a unique, one-of-a-kind seal for you.
We will present two design options and send you photographs so you can choose the one you prefer.
When you place your order for the seal, we will provide a coupon equivalent to the design fee you paid. Since the design fee is fully deducted from the purchase price, the design service is effectively free of charge.

Why we ask for this in advance
The engraver's work begins before any seal is ordered. Designing a seal face is skilled labour, and it takes real time. The $50 covers that time. If you commission the seal, it returns to you in full.
